• Added descriptions about the management of profile segment information in the "Managing Your Personal Information" section.

• Ads placed through the Services may appear in apps provided by Huawei and its partners. To protect your privacy when providing you with personalized ads, the Services use your information for user segmentation purposes, and there will be at least 5,000 users in your group.

• The Services know nothing about your health, payments, contacts, call logs, or emails, and will not provide such information to our partners.

• You can choose to view and manage your user profile segment information from Privacy Center, thereby tuning the ad recommendation results. If you choose to turn on Disable personalized ads, the ads you receive will be less relevant to your user profile segments, but their quantity will remain unchanged.

With your consent, we will display personalized ads to you and process related information. We will ensure the security of your personal information when displaying personalized ads to you.

Information described below may be used to provide you with the advertising services:

• Device and usage information

  We will collect the following information when displaying ads to you: device identifier (OAID), device information (device brand, model, operating system information, system settings, and device usage information), sensor information (gyroscope, accelerometer, rotation vector sensor, magnetometer, and barometer information), network information (network connection status, IP address, and carrier information), Wi-Fi information (Wi-Fi status, Wi-Fi parameters, and Wi-Fi list), and HUAWEI ID information. We will also collect the list of installed apps on your device once per day.

  Information about your sensors (such as accelerometer and gyroscope) is collected to provide you with innovative interactive ads (such as those to open upon shakes) and prevent malicious fraud and cheating.

• Ad interaction information

  Information about your interactions with ads placed through the Services, such as impressions and clicks.

• Device location information

  When serving ads to you, we will collect information about your device's location (precise location based on GPS longitude and latitude data and rough location based on Bluetooth and WLAN hotspots) to provide you with ads relevant to your geographic location.

  If Location-based Ads has been enabled, your device location may be used to provide you with ads relevant to your geographic location. We will not store the precise location (GPS information) of your device. We will use Bluetooth (when available) and WLAN hotspots to help determine the approximate location of your device. To enable or disable this feature, go to Settings > Privacy > Location Services > System services > Location-based Ads. If this place is not present on your device, the Services will not collect your device location information.

• Information about interactions with advertisers' services

  For purposes such as ad placement optimization, ad attribution, and effectiveness analysis, the advertisers may provide the Services with information obtained during interactions with their users. The collection and use of such information are subject to the privacy policies of the advertisers.

To provide you with personalized ads, the Services will use personal information you provide to Huawei and its partners to create user profile groups (advertising segments that group users with similar characteristics), and we will match ads that you may be interested in against what segments you are assigned to in your user profile. Your profile segments will be linked with a random advertising identifier (OAID) of your device, and there will be at least 5,000 users in your group. Your personal information described below may be used for targeted segmentation:

• HUAWEI ID information

  Your address and age, as well as devices registered under your HUAWEI ID. Information such as your nickname displayed on the HUAWEI ID registration screen may be used to infer your gender, and the displayed age information may be used to infer whether you are a child.

• Download, installation, purchase, and subscription information

  Music, videos, and books you have downloaded, apps you have installed, as well as items you have purchased and content you have subscribed to in apps.

• Search information

  Your search keywords, which may be used to provide you with relevant ads.

• In-app activity information

  A partner app of ours may provide us with information about your use of the app, which is subject to privacy policies of the app and applicable laws.

• Ad interaction information

  Information about your interactions with ads placed through the Services, such as impressions and clicks.

• Information related to Smart Recommendations

  To provide you with ad information of greater value to you and a better experience, we offer a better ad recommendation mechanism with proper protection for your privacy by using advanced privacy protection technologies and HUAWEI HiAI. For example, we may use the federated learning technique to analyze your usage on the device, including frequently accessed processes and received marketing SMS messages, and thereby recommend products or services that you may be interested in. In particular, the analysis is only performed on your device. We will neither collect the analyzed content nor upload it to any server. You can disable Smart Recommendations on the More information screen after accessing the Ads settings screen as instructed in Section 3.1.

In addition, to improve the quality of advertising services and provide a better user experience, we will collect your personal information in relation to the operations and use of the advertising identifier. Such information will not be shared with any third parties.

The Services know nothing about your health, payments, contacts, call logs, or emails, and will not provide such information to our partners.

In the ad placement process, we share some of your personal information with our partners such as the advertisers and their agencies according to the principle of minimization. We will protect your personal information and prevent our partners from identifying you as an individual by signing pertinent agreements with our partners, requiring our partners to comply with applicable privacy and security laws, take appropriate physical, technical, organizational, and administrative protective measures, and use the data provided by Huawei in compliance with the agreements. We highly respect your concerns regarding personal information, and you are provided with the following data subject rights and options.

The Services will ensure your rights of choice and control concerning personalized ads in accordance with the law. You can choose to turn on Disable personalized ads on the Ads settings screen on your device.

If you turn on Disable personalized ads, the Services will not deliver personalized ads to you. At the same time, links to your advertising identifier will be removed and your personal information will be unlinked from the advertising identifier. Afterwards, you may still receive ads, but they will be less relevant to you.

You can reset the advertising identifier to clear your personal information linked with it. To reset the advertising identifier on your device, go to the Ads settings screen and touch Reset Ad-ID.

You can access the Ads settings screen in the following ways to manage your personal information:

• On your phone or tablet, go to Settings > Privacy > Ads and Privacy, or Settings > HMS Core > Ads, or Settings > Privacy > HMS Core > Ads, or Settings > Security & privacy > More settings > Device identifier, or go to Settings > Apps > Apps > HMS Core, touch the Settings icon, and touch Ads, depending on your operating system version.

• On your smart TV, go to Settings > System > HMS Core > Ads or Settings > Third-party services > HMS Core > Ads.

• You can also touch here to access the Ads settings screen directly.

We do not store or use your precise location information, but only your general location category (such as a university campus or shopping mall). You can choose not to receive location-based ads by going to Settings > Privacy > Location Services > System services, and disabling Location-based Ads, or by disabling Location Services on your device directly. If the System services or Location-based Ads option is not present on your device, you will not receive location-based ads.

You can view and manage your user profile segment information from Privacy Center, thus controlling what ads you may see.

If you turn on Disable personalized ads or reset the advertising identifier, we will no longer link your existing user profile segment information.

We attach great importance to the protection of minors' personal information. Huawei will provide services and protection for minors in strict accordance with national laws and regulations. If you are a minor, your parents or legal guardians must agree to your use of this app, and agree to the applicable terms and conditions. Parents or legal guardians should also take appropriate precautions to protect minors, including monitoring their use of this app.

In particular, if you are a child (a minor under the age of 14), the Services will not push personalized ads to you.

The Services are only available on devices sold in the People's Republic of China. The personal information collected and generated under the Services will be stored in the People's Republic of China and will not be transferred outside the borders. Your personal information will be retained for up to two (2) years.

In the event that we discontinue our products or services, we will notify you in the form of a push notification, announcement, or by other means, and delete or anonymize your personal information within a reasonable period of time.
